Want to take a crack at making steamed eggs?

What You’ll Need

  • Chino Valley Ranchers’ eggs
  • A pot, with a steamer
  • A bowl of ice water

Optional Ingredients

  • Salt
  • Pepper

Begin by bringing an inch of water in a pot to a boil, and place the steamer inside. Next, gently place your Chino Valley Ranchers’ eggs into the steamer and cover the pot. Use the following guideline to set a countdown:

  • For hard-boiled eggs: Steam for 12 minutes.
  • For soft-boiled eggs: Steam for 6 minutes.

After the selected time is up, carefully remove your eggs with a spoon or tongs and place them straight into a bowl of ice water. The ice water helps to stop the eggs from cooking. It also ensures that the eggs come out perfectly shaped, without indentations on their ends.

Allow the eggs to cool down for 10-15 minutes before peeling. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and enjoy!
