Chino Valley Ranchers' certified Organic DHA Omega-3 eggs are
our most nutritious organic
eggs on the shelf. The chickens that produce these cage
free eggs are fed a diet that contains organically grown corn,
soybean, alfalfa, and flaxseed. In addition to being fortified
with Vitamin E and Folic Acid, and an abundance of other vitamins,
this feed exhibits as much as 75mg of the omega-3 fatty acid DHA
(Docosahexaenoic Acid), a nutrient that is lacking in most American
diets (1). Several studies suggest that DHA is essential especially
during pregnancy and infancy for optimal nervous system development,
with cognitive development and visual acuity and is improved by
the presence of DHA (2). For adults, DHA may aid in the prevention
of dementia, as well as promote eye health (3,4,5,6,7,8). Omega-3
fatty acids in general are also recommended in the prevention
of cardiovascular diseases and other chronic diseases (9,10).
The chickens that produce these brown eggs
are free-range with access to the outdoors at their leisure.
