VEG-A-FED and Humane Harvest egg brands are the products of these efforts. These eggs come from hens that are fed a diet that has been specially formulated and refined by our nutritionist over many years. They are fed a completely vegetarian diet that uses no animal or fish by-products; as is the case for commercially produced eggs. These by-products are used to boost the protein and calcium needed in the hen's diet to produce eggs. We have found that these needs can be met by our naturally-formulated diet with added vegetable seed, grain, soy bean and limestone meal. This completely removes animal cholesterol from their systems.
